Window Screen Re-Screening
Torn, sagging, or pet-shredded mesh replaced in your existing frame: window screens, sliding patio screens, and screen door inserts. Screen repair is available at Cobourg and Gilmer’s (Port Hope).
Frame Repair & Rebuilds
Bent rails, blown corners, and missing hardware. If the frame is past saving, we can build a replacement screen to your measurements.
Single-Pane Glass
Glass cut to size and set into your frame: picture frames, cabinet doors, storm windows, and storm door glass. Glass cutting is done at Gilmer's Home Hardware Building Centre in Port Hope only, while glass repair and reframing are handled at both Cobourg and Gilmer's (Port Hope). For sealed double-pane units, ask us about replacement options through our Windows & Doors department.
Bring the whole frame if you can.
The repair goes fastest when we have the frame in hand. Pop the screen or sash out and bring it to the service desk. If it won't come out, careful measurements (width, height, and frame thickness) are the next best thing.
We'll look it over with you, confirm the fix, and let you know cost and pickup timing before any work starts.
